Who Showers At The Gym?

I don't. I just take my sweaty ass home and shower there. I mean, unless I'm pressed for time and have to rush somewhere afterwards, I don't shower at the gym. And if I do, I power walk to my locker-towel covering pec to toe-as soon as I'm done.

But those days are most likely done. I recently upgraded my gym membership (any Ballys in the city) and started hitting this club on W19th and 6th Ave. I quickly noticed that I was like the only dude looking at girls. Not that there's anything wrong with that. Sorry to say, but it made me think twice about taking a shower there. I mean, excuse me for liking breastesses, but the thought just makes me uncomfortable. Just the other day, I was opening my locker when some dude, meat (pause) hangin' like it's nobody's business, popped up in my peripheral. Not even a freaking towel. So the next time I'm late. Don't be mad. I probably had to stop home to take a shower. Speak on it!

So, you checkin' out dudes at Bally's now, huh? Wow... How the mighty have fallen... :(

LOL! I don't shower at the gym I go to [Crunch's, what's up!] -- I live close enough by it to do what needs to be done at the crib like you said. But... since everyone doesn't share our universal view of cleanliness, does that someone conflict with one's manhood?

get some wet wipes, my dude. They're like dry cleaning for your body.

1. hashim, that's nasty. we only rock the wipes for post-deuce. that's for emergency genital use only.

2. hell no i don't shower at bally's. i couldn't see myself showering at anyone's gym.

first of all, i don't know what kind of fungus and herpes niggas done brought to the stalls.

second, that's where the cruising goes down. i don't wanna give some of my local boys' club members the wrong idea.

i live right around the corner from mine, so showering there would essentially indicate that i were looking for some george michael action.

with that said, dudes have the right to let their meat swing in the shower room. i just wouldn't subject myself to being in line of vision.

i could go back to jail for that.

Yeah if you are a STRAIGHT guy you should probably keep your time in the locker room to a minimum... especially since you gym in Chelsea.

I think I showered at the gym twice in my life, and yeah, I must have something to do afterwards to be that crazy...Lucille Roberts = lots of women-seeking women, and do you, but I don't get down like that...so hell no.

Like most I suppose, I generally go home after a workout, unless Im pressed for time and need to be somewhere. But it's more for the sake of comfort.. i enjoy my own personal soaps, lotions, wash cloths, shower radio, etc, and who's bringing all that crap to the gym all the time?

That said, call me crazy but other people's nakedness doesn't offend me. And i've never had some crazy, overly aggressive lezzy checkin out my girly parts. (Although that probably wouldn't bother me either. Hey, when you got it you got it, and i got it ;). Just don't touch me or I'll kill you.)

I think it' different for dudes though. You guy's gyms are like singles bars for the gays.

Hey Ron, here's a question- how would u get herpes from a shower? What are you rubbing yourself against? And for God's sake, why?

But the wet wipes... wow.

Eeeewwww! I don't shower at the gym. Tried it. Didn't like it. So now I just use the gas and trek back home (when living in Houston - in Brooklyn I walk back home). I work it into my morning schedule and I suggest you do the same.

I'm so happy you brought up this subject. I've been meaning to let some people know how I feel about the gym's locker room. The shower area has never seen me, I just think of jail rape scenes. LOL But honestly...Ladies, when in the locker room, you do not have to take your underwear off and sit on a perfectly good bench. THAT IS NASTY!!! In addition, to the few women whose stuff is naturally covered (Either by fur or fat)...I'm not interested. Proper gym etiquette is to keep "Victoria's Secret" safe!

Peace!!

man...i dont do that shower at the gym shit neither. being in that locker room...man, hell naw. i be feeling like ol' boy in the Bud Light "Dude" commericals. Then some of these dudes have the audacity to strike up some convo about the game or something. Nigga please.

I did that shit once, never again dawg.

Originally, I didn't take a shower at the gym, but now I do.

I bring my shower shoes and I showers with them on. No fungus coming home with me. I don't touch the walls. And before I get in the shower, I put the water on as hot as it can get and let it wash down the walls.

I brings my own soap. My deodorant. And I keep my head up.

Finally, I wear my draws to the shower. Then I takes them off before I step in. When I step out, I puts on new draws and a new t-shirt.

The only time I let it all hang out was on New Years Eve. I was the last dude in there at 4pm.

Steven broke it down right. I'm covered up until I'm in the actual shower. But the thing is they don't have curtains. I don't know what this new gym's showers look like, but the old Ballys had showers facing each other. If I face the shower head, my derriere is exposed. Face the other way and your package is onstage. It's a lose/lose situation. Like I said, I'll be late to the meeting.

My gym has shower curtains. I didn't realize all gyms didn't have curtains.

Guess you might cop some curtains and put 'em in your gym bag.

I HAVE to shower after working out. I'm a female, so it's necessary, and if I didn't, I would be one of those chicks you described in the "I Shouldn't Smell Better Than You" post. LOL

But I go to Health and Racquet Club, so the showers are always clean and there are individual stalls. Until I step in, I stay covered up.

I usually avoid the steam rooms though. Too much nekkidness for me!

I always shower at he gym. Ive never got a crazy fungus on my feet, blah blah. I feel way better if I shower after a workout. Actually it makes me feel more secure in myself showering with the chance of strangers, straight or gay seeing me (if they choose to glance) I'm kind of a "hippie" at heart. I used to be really shy as a kid, having to shower in middle school after gym really helped me come out of my shell. hell, most guys arent over 6 inches anyway, LOL. I think it feels very free to chat to someone while showering at the gym.

What do you think of poor people who are homeless, either due to financial problems or due to any other reasons, who take showers daily in the Gym?
